James Liang, Partner, is a member of the Investment Committee of The CID Group and has more than 20 years of investment experience. Prior to joining The CID Group in 2004, James served 14 years as Executive Vice President, the No. 2 person in charge at China Venture Management - a wholly-owned subsidiary of the China Development Industrial Bank (CDIB) and the first venture capital company established in Taiwan - where he successfully led the team to invest in a number of the firm's most successful investments. From 1986-1990, he was employed as a Sales & Marketing Manager at Hewlett Packard, where he became well skilled in the art of sales. He is currently Chairman of an endowment fund for the Department of Chemical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University. He currently serves as a director of Flexium Interconnect, Top Ray Technology, and Ta Chen International. He has previously served as a director of several listed companies during his tenure at China Venture Management. He has also served as a part time lecturer at Soochow University teaching management and investment courses for 8 years.
